The FLEX4FACT Project was proud to participate in Enlit Europe 2024, one of the leading global energy conferences, held in Milan, Italy, from November 5-7, 2024. The event brought together energy industry professionals, policymakers, and technology innovators to explore cutting-edge solutions for a sustainable and digitalized energy system.
Networking and Collaboration at the EU Project Zone
While FLEX4FACT was not officially showcased in the EU Project Zone, our team was on-site, engaging in meaningful discussions with other EU-funded projects. This space provided an excellent opportunity for networking, exchanging ideas, and fostering new collaborations. It was inspiring to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new partners, all dedicated to driving innovation in energy efficiency and industrial flexibility.
Speaking Session: Digital Transformation for a Greener Industry
On the second day of Enlit Europe, during the session on Energy Efficiency and Optimisation with Digital Technologies, Marco Barbagelata, Digital Transformation Officer at STAM S.r.l., took the stage to present how FLEX4FACT is leveraging digital technologies to drive energy flexibility in manufacturing. His presentation underscored the role of Digital Twin technology and smart data analytics in achieving real-time optimization of industrial energy consumption, supporting the broader goal of industrial decarbonization.
Networking and Knowledge Exchange
Beyond the exhibition and presentation, Enlit Europe 2024 provided an incredible opportunity for networking and collaboration. Over three days, FLEX4FACT engaged in inspiring discussions with industry leaders, policymakers, and researchers, exchanging ideas and exploring new opportunities to drive the energy transition forward. The event attracted over 15,000 professionals, including:
- Energy companies (utilities and grid operators)
- Technology providers focusing on renewable energy and smart grids
- Regulators and policymakers shaping energy transition policies
- Start-ups and researchers innovating in sustainable energy solutions
